On-the-job learning at the employer's normal place of work. Whilst working, the apprentice develops the knowledge, skills and behaviours of a Payroll Assistant Manager |

20% off-the-job training There are no compulsory qualifications to be completed during training however, the apprentice needs to have achieved English and mathematics at Level 2 so additional training for this will be provided if needed.

There are three parts to the EPA which ICB delivers online and on-demand throughout the year

One-to-one interview discussing the evidence of the apprentice's work collated in their portfolio

After the apprentice has submitted a 5000 word project, they present and discuss it in a one-to-one discussion

Upon successful completion of the EPA, the apprentice is awarded the
Payroll Assistant Manager Apprenticeship
and can apply to join ICB as a Payroll Agent, with full exemption from ICB's exams.
