Apprenticeship Training Providers trust ICB as their EPAO because we have supported, and set the standards for, bookkeeping and payroll professionals for over 25 years. Our apprenticeships team is friendly and approachable and we have a learner-centric approach to delivering assessments

Why choose ICB as your End-Point Assessment Organisation?

ICB acts as an End-Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) for several accounting apprenticeship standards:

Apprentices who complete the Level 3 and Level 5 Payroll standards are eligible to apply for ICB membership as a Payroll Agent, allowing them to retain access to the technical support and professional community available to holders of ICB’s Diploma in Payroll Management.

Choosing ICB as your End-Point Assessment Organisation for apprenticeships in payroll and accounting means that your apprentices and employers benefit from flexible, remote-invigilated assessments and robust quality assurance.

As a professional institute that’s been supporting payroll and bookkeeping professionals for over 25 years, we pride ourselves on raising the standards and the reputation of the profession.

“Our partnership with ICB ensures that the apprentice is competent and efficient. The end-point assessment is very robust and there's a lot of support materials from ICB with the mock versions which really help make sure the apprentice is ready and going to pass.”

 - Mark Bremner, Director of MBKB Training

Accounting apprenticeships can lead to ICB membership

Apprenticeships make a great alternative route into ICB membership for your students who want to earn while they learn, or for employers who want off-the-job training support for their staff.

Once your apprentice has completed their end-point assessment in any of the ICB-assessed standards, they will be eligible for exemptions from the ICB professional qualifications so they can become an ICB member straight away.

With ICB membership your apprentices will have access to our technical, tax and legal support lines, as well as monthly technical webinars included within their membership. A benefit for both apprentice and employer.
